Rural Address Interval Numbers
Rural Address Interval Numbering
- Interval Numbers are the spot of initial access to the Section. Once inside the section, there may be further Unit Numbers.
- A Section of land is a square one mile by one mile
- Address Interval Numbers are assigned along each of the 4 borders of a Section
- Each mile long border is divided into 80 intervals of 40 metres each (1609.344 meters in a mile)
- Numbers increase from South to North and from East to West
- Even numbers are along the North and West borders
- Odd numbers are along the South and East borders
